Deckchair deconstructed heart mosaic

Deckchair Deconstructed - slim heart hanging ornament.

This artwork was created from a ceramic mug adorned with the colourful stripes and a Whittards' bowl. This reminded me of the beach and the deckchairs you can hire and lie on.

The pieces have been carefully hand cut piece by piece and adhered to the slim heart mdf shape in a non uniform way (hence the deconstruction) and the base plate of the Whittards' bowl is on show for provenance.

The glass fusion iridescent murrini was crafted in my kiln and added to represent the water as a pool at the beach. Item is grouted, cleaned and ready to purchase for your “beach inspired home” or for the interior of your summerhouse.
