Who we are

Polly had a Dolly
My name is Lydia and I am the maker behind Polly had a Dolly. I live in Staplehurst and have two little girls. I am passionate about nurturing my daughters’ creativity and imagination.
Through my doll making I am trying to reignite our children’s world of make-believe. My dolls are designed to ensure our children are in control of their playtime! I care about our environment so I use natural materials and make dolls that will last a lifetime. I source specialist doll making fabrics and inside the stuffing is 100% British lambswool.

All my dolls are made in my home workshop by myself and are CE marked.

I’m Becca, aka Blazing Needles, and I live in Staplehurst – a small village in Kent. I am a designer and creator of unique gifts and home decor, handmade here in Staplehurst. All my work is produced using ethically sourced pure hand dyed British wool. When I’m not busy creating, I’m usually out with our dog or busy with my three children.

Sandy’s Cards for all Occasions

Hi, I’m Sandy from Sandys Cards 4 all Occasions.  I make handcrafted cards have been doing this for 20 years now, and still love it.  When you buy one  of my cards you will have a one off, although I do sometimes do similar cards all are slightly different, because they are handcrafted.  Also when you buy one of my cards I donate 10% to the Motor Neuron Disease, this helps with research into this dreadful disease.

Snapdragon Designs

Hello, we are Snapdragon Designs, a husband and wife team, Shelley and John, from Kent.
Together we design and make a range of unique quirky acrylic jewellery influenced by fairy tales, stories and books alongside a range of lasercut cards, printed greetings cards and homewares all based on City silhouettes. Our lasercut cards were a brainwave from Shelley. To this day if you ask her she will tell you she has no idea where the idea came from, only that it just popped into her head one day and she asked John to make a prototype. That prototype was our London skyline and it is still our most popular selling card.

The Little Red Hen Jewellery

I design and make beautiful, wearable jewellery from Sterling silver, copper, base metals and semi-precious stones. Many of my designs are inspired by the lovely Kent countryside, where I live, with hearts and folk art motifs featuring strongly too. Where possible, I only use eco-friendly packaging and stationery and many of my designs use Eco recycled silver. I love to make special personalised jewellery as commissions too, so please feel free to get in touch via email.

Aye Aye

Aye Aye creates handmade vintage inspired clothing and accessories in bright, bold and fun prints for ladies and children. I started making clothes over 15 years ago when I use to buy vintage from bootfairs and it didn’t fit me, so armed with a hand singer sewing machine I deconstructed and reconstructed this clothing. I am now lucky enough to own an electric machine and I create made to measure garments for other people to wear always with a retro twist.
